The constantly evolving global business environment demands a workforce with strong skills in core business fundamentals. This new, ever changing atmosphere now also requires much more and that is the advantage that an Auburn MBA offers your organization.
Our students are well steeped in the foundations of business education; they excel in teams and have a firm grasp on how to transition an organizational vision into reality. The education model in the Auburn MBA Program is multifaceted and includes several key dimensions to produce a more well rounded leader who is ready to hit the ground running immediately upon assignment.
For an Auburn MBA, learning takes place in the classroom by way of traditional lecture, strategic leadership case studies allowing students to apply theory to business applications in mutual exchange with classmates and professors, and collaborative team projects. The Auburn MBA recognizes the importance of learning both in and out of the classroom. In keeping with this, vital components of the program’s leadership training are the Blue Ridge Conference on Leadership held each fall in Black Mountain, North Carolina, team building ropes courses, and off site seminars. Auburn believes responsible leadership differentiates managers from truly outstanding leaders. The Auburn MBA includes components that build relationships with and serve the community in which we learn and work. Community is a keystone of the Auburn MBA and Peer-to-Peer contact is emphasized throughout the program. The Auburn MBA prepares students to be leaders within organizations immediately upon graduation. Between the first and second year, a summer internship allows students to put leadership skills gained in the program to practical application in the workplace. The Auburn MBA recognizes the increasing role that the international economy plays in the workplace of today and tomorrow. To engage students in this new economic environment, the program sponsors a required international component that takes participants to several nation-states around the world allowing students to experience different cultures, economic systems, and ways of doing business.
