Courses Required for Entry into Auburn MBA Program

Because the Auburn MBA is delivered in a compressed format, a firm business foundation is necessary for success in the program. To allow for this, nine prerequisite courses are required for admission. Prerequisite courses need not be completed prior to application; however, all requirements must be satisfied prior to the start of classes.

lounge1Required prerequisite courses are:

  • Calculus I
  • Statistics (Undergraduate Level)
  • Principles of Accounting I
  • Principles of Accounting II
  • Principles of Microeconomics
  • Principles of Macroeconomics
  • Principles of Finance
  • Principles of Management
  • Principles of Marketing

Options for Fulfilling Prerequisite Requirements

There are a number of ways to meet these prerequisite requirements:

1.    Apply undergraduate courses already taken with a grade of ‘C’ or better.

2.    Take the following undergraduate courses at Auburn University achieving a grade of ‘C’ or better. (These are not available as distance learning courses).

  • MATH 1610 Calculus I

5.    Take CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) exams for the prerequisites.
See the CLEP web site at:
