Which Program is Right For Me?

Auburn MBA students come from a variety of professional backgrounds and points in their career. While the majority of our students have a significant amount of industrial experience, classes are composed of a range from recent college graduates to experienced executives. To help accommodate the various needs encountered in different career and life stages, the Auburn MBA offers one degree delivered in two formats.

Full Time On-Campus

The most traditional of Auburn’s MBA offerings, the Full Time On-Campus MBA Program is a comprehensive 17 month graduate degree delivered at Auburn Universities main Campus in Auburn, AL. Requiring a substantial time investment by students, the Full Time On-campus Program integrates unique features to create a distinctive MBA experience unlike any other. Focusing on developing leaders for the new economy, learning takes place both in the classroom and in the field across the country and around the world. Professional and career development is integrated into the On-Campus program and significant resources are dedicated to placing the student both in summer internships and future careers.

Technology-based Distance Learning

Designed for students who are unable to relocate and attend a full-time MBA Program due to career or other obligations, the technology rich Auburn MBA Distance Learning Program is a video based educational experience. The Distance Learning Program length is typically somewhat longer than that of the Full Time On-campus option. Students typically take two classes (six credit hours) or coursework per semester and average two and a half to three years to complete the Program.

Students interact with each other using online platforms and during a required five day on-campus residency. Exams are proctored locally to the student and assignments returned to the University via electronic and postal means. With over 1100 alumni throughout the country, the Outreach MBA is a viable solution with proven results.

Executive MBA and Physicians Executive MBA

Additionally, the MBA program has developed an Executive MBA and Physicians Executive MBA to suit the needs of more experienced executives and medical professionals. Both programs offer cutting edge education for the core MBA disciplines. Specialized concentrations in Technology Management and Health Care are available for executives interested in further specialization. Knowledgeable, insightful faculty, creative projects and coursework, horizon-expanding travel, and a network of experienced fellow executives all combine to give students an awareness of their own strengths, an expanded knowledge of business disciplines, and a new perspective on today’s complex business landscape.
